On this day, one year ago, we received a call that would change our lives. The call that a birth mother had chosen us. A call telling us there is a little girl that would be born in three short weeks and we were asked to be her parents. Our lives look very different than they did this time last year, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. So much has happened and we can’t help but be completely wrecked by the love we’ve felt from all of you. So we want to say thank you and tell you we couldn’t have done it without you. We celebrate adoption, being a bunch of choices and we are so thankful that not only did a birth-mother chose us but you all chose to support us and believe in us and pray for us. We are oh so humbled.
The following pictures are of Vera-lou’s adoption finalization. They were taken by our amazing friend Masao Osako, of Amara Photography. We had to wait for all the paperwork to be processed and for three home visits post placement before she finally became Vera-lou Natasha Ebersole. Yes, the growling process doesn’t end with baby born and for many it is much longer than we waited. The ceremony was great, we were glad all her cousins were on school vacation and were able to cheer when the final paper was signed.
Horah for the greatest adventure us, Ebersole’s have been on yet.
